Katrina Dion

Katrina (she/her) is a director, teaching artist, and producer living in Chicago. Since 2013, Katrina has worked closely with Free Street Theater, starting as an intern and now serving as the Director of Education. In this position, she directs the youth ensemble, oversees arts education programs, and co-developed Free Street Talks, Free Street's for-hire arm, through which she has led workshops for organizations like The Obama Foundation, the National Civil Rights Museum, ProPublica Illinois, and more. At Free Street she has directed multiple original works including, WASTED, Parched, Checkmate, For US, with love, REST (with Tricia Hersey, The Nap Ministry), The Americans, and The Paleta Project (with Ricardo Gamboa). Other recent directing credits include Punk (The New Coordinates), Cycle 3 of Every 28 Hours (The Goodman Theatre/Free Street Theater), and Zipped and Pelted by Lucas Baisch (Chicago Fringe Festival).
