Antonio L. Rodriguez (he/him) is an actor, writer, filmmaker, and teacher from Chicago. With a bachelor in vocal performance, he came up as an actor in the St. Louis, Missouri theatre scene, joining Actor’s Equity and winning two St. Louis Theatre Circle Awards in the process. He has landed in Chicago as an artist with a much broader tool belt. After graduating from The Theatre School with his MFA in Acting, Antonio now approaches his classes with the goal of re-imagining what a theatre education can look like. He also gives architecture tours on the Chicago River in the warmer months, sharing the story of Chicago with thousands of visitors every year and coaching a team of fellow river guides. Having directed his first short film in 2022, Coat Check, Antonio is now working on the next, Unalived, a horror-comedy cautionary tale on the dangers of social media, as producer, writer, and actor. Antonio believes that artists of all kinds must take what control over their creativity that they can and envision new ways to share their artistry in an industry that is struggling to evolve compassionately.
