Dominic DiGiovanni was born and raised in
Oakland, California. He was first exposed to the theater in third grade
through the Oakland public school system, despite not really taking the hint
until college. He earned a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering &
Theater from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (favorite production: The Mojo
and the Sayso by Aishah Rahman).
During his career, he has worked primarily as a
carpenter at theatres on both coasts including the Wellfleet Harbor Actors
Theater (favorite production: Dark Yellow by Julia Jordan); the Lake George Opera
Company (favorite production: Don Pasquale by Gaetano Donizetti); Seattle Musical
Theater (favorite production: Company by Stephen Sondheim); the La Jolla Playhouse
(favorite production: Tribes by Nina Raine); the University of California San Diego
(favorite production: A Doll’s House by Henrik Ibsen); and the Seattle Repertory
Theater (favorite production: King Charles III by Mike Bartlett).
