Martin, originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, has spent his career focusing on the management side of entertainment. Before coming to TTS, he was the Lead Backstage Manager and Aerial Winch Operator for Teatro ZinZanni / Cabaret Zazou in the Loop. Previously, Martin has had the pleasure of working in a variety of genres, such as musical theatre and new works, modern and contemporary dance, opera, and industrial events. He has spent time cross-training and exercising his skills as a freelance Stage Manager, Lighting Designer, Projection Designer, and Production Manager, as well as various technical positions. He was a Venue Technical Director for Salt Lake County Arts & Culture, and even worked on ambulances as an EMT while in Utah. Martin has a passion for the arts, and how they have the power to interconnect culture and humanity. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Stage Management from the University of Utah and has had the honor of being a part of the U of U College of Fine Arts Ambassador Board, the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Gateway Program, and USITT's Stage Management Mentor Program. Currently, Martin serves on the USITT Management Commission Leadership team.
