Martin C. Alcocer

​Martin is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. Most recently, he was the Lead Backstage Manager and Aerial Winch Operator for Teatro ZinZanni / Cabaret Zazou in the Loop. Previously, Martin has had the pleasure of working in a variety of genres, such as musical theatre, modern and contemporary dance, opera, and industrial events. He has spent time cross-training and exercising his skills as a freelance Stage Manager, Lighting Designer, Projection Designer, and Production Manager around the west, working as a Venue Technical Director for Salt Lake County Arts & Culture, and even working on ambulances as an EMT while in Utah. Martin has a passion for the arts, and how they have the power to interconnect culture and humanity. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Stage Management from the University of Utah and has had the honor of being a part of the U of U College of Fine Arts Ambassador Board, the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Gateway Program, and USITT's Stage Management Mentor Program.​​​
