Courtney is a Chicago-based Sexologist, Certified Sexuality Educator, private-practice owner, and Adjunct Professor committed to the great Unlearn! Focused on pleasure and consent, she prioritizes creating braver spaces for communication around sexuality as well as an inclusive environment with a social justice lens. Courtney's main objectives as an educator are to destigmatize attitudes around sexuality, providing the most up to date research-based information on sexual health and development, and focusing on how colonization informs our current attitudes around gender, sexuality and relationships. Her private practice provides AASECT Certified trainings to wellness professionals. She currently teaches the SAR (Sexual Attitude Reassessment) at Adler University.

Courtney has multiple certifications in Somatics, focused on trauma and healing that blends instinctively with her extensive background in dance and movement. Her dance journey started young and continued at the University of Iowa where she completed her B.A. in Communications and continued while attending Suffolk University in Boston, completing an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Pedagogy and International Politics. Courtney then went on to attend ISEE (Institute for Sexuality Education and Enlightenment) an AASECT Sex Educator training program. She has been an educator for over 20 years, and teaching Sex Education for over a decade.

This past year, Courtney had the pleasure of co-producing a short film, tapping back into her creative roots. She is now working on another film and is ecstatic to blend her passion for sexual health, wellness, and education with her love of the performing arts. She is thrilled to be joining The Theatre School education team and to contribute to this important and necessary emerging field.
