Jessica Wardell

Jessica Kuehnau Wardell is a freelance scenic and costume designer, teacher, and artist based in Chicago. Jessica is a founding ensemble member of Adventure Stage Chicago and an artistic associate with MPAACT (Ma'at Production Association of Afrikan Centered Theatre). 

Recent designs include the world premiere of Shepsu Aakhu's Spoken Word and Tina Fakhrid-Dean's Pulled Punches at MPAACT, and her scenic design for the new TYA production Jabari Dreams of Freedom (First Woman Theatre) concluded its reginal tour at The New Victory Theatre on 42nd Street in New York.  Jessica's designs have been seen internationally with the touring production of Reprise at the National Theatre of Scotland's Home Away Festival and Juliet: A Dialogue About Love at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Jessica holds an MFA in stage design from Northwestern University and is currently designing immersive theatrical cocktail experiences across the country with Fever Originals. Design portfolio:  jesskdesign.com​
