Emily (she/her) is an artist and administrator from Versailles, Kentucky. Emily recently served as the associate producer, graphic designer, and social media manager at the Southeastern Summer Theatre Institute in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Before her work with the Southeastern Summer Theatre Institute, Emily was an event captain at 21C Museum Hotels in Lexington and served as the marketing manager on the University of Kentucky's studio season board.
Emily earned her BA in arts administration and theatre with a focus on digital media and design at the University of Kentucky and is an alumna of the Lewis Honors College and Kentucky Governor's School for the Arts.
When she's not making art happen from an administrative position, Emily creates bold, vibrant works of fiber art. Her colorful - at times tactile - tufted forms transform spaces. Emily recently won the University of Kentucky's 2022 Young Artist Competition and founded and directed the first annual GARTY, the interdisciplinary lgbtq+ showcase OF THE CENTURY.
