Growing Up Blue

by Chloë Orlando
directed by Shade Murray

On the verge of Blue's 14th birthday, everyone in their small town finds out Blue may be transgender. Blue is confronted with violence, new restrictions on bathroom use, and an offer to star in a new reality television show. In this new play by Chloë Orlando, Blue struggles to grow up and escape a life in hiding to discover the beauty in difference.

And the core question:
What does it mean to hide who you are in order to survive?
