Loosely ANTIGONE, ECHO BOOM tells the story of a valedictorian named Ash whose younger siblings commit a large-scale rampage-killing spree at their school. Examining Columbine, 9/11, electoral fraud, capitalism and the media, Ash searches for her place in a surreal political and religious landscape. ECHO BOOM is presented as part of The Theatre School’s New Playwrights Series, which is an annual presentation of a new play by a current Theatre School student or recent graduate.
