Liv Garcia

BFA Theatre Arts

​Liv (they/she) is a director, dramaturg, facilitator, and feminist scholar. Selected work at The Theatre School includes Dance Nation (dramaturg), Against the Sky (director), The Transit of Gemini (director), Come Back, Little Sheba (asst. director), and ob/li/ves/cence (devising ensemble). For the past two years she has also served as the editor-in-chief of “The Grappler", The Theatre School's community journal. Liv makes feminist-informed theatre rooted in an ensemble practice of care and coalition. In addition to their studies at The Theatre School, they will graduate with a bachelor's degree in women's and gender studies, where their capstone focused on developing best practices for intersectional feminist directing. You can see Liv's scholarship and practice in action in her upcoming Lab, lady m's suicide note, which will premiere this spring at The Theatre School.​
