Quinn Riggs

BFA Theatre Arts

Quinn (they/them) is a theatre artist and director raised in the rural suburbs outside Dallas, Texas. They spent two years studying acting, dance, and voice in Oklahoma City before transferring to The Theatre School to focus on directing. While directing is their current focus, Quinn has a history in performance, design, dramaturgy, and writing as well. Their work centers gender expansivity and emotional intimacy. Recently, they led a devised production titled Welcome to the Fruit Basket, which encouraged and instigated conversations on gender and sexuality through discussion and performance with the audience. Currently, they are working on a documentary inspired by the devising process, comprised of raw rehearsal footage, audio recordings, and interviews with the company. Quinn is also a fan of musical theatre, anime, and Pokémon.
