Shelby Ronea

BFA Acting

​Shelby Ronea is an actress, comedian, and filmmaker from Tampa Bay. This June, she will graduate from DePaul University with a BFA in acting and dual minors in film production and media, and cinema studies. While at DePaul, she performed at improv-sketch shows at The Second City, IO Theater and The Playground Theater. Select professional credits include: Joe Turner's Come and Gone (American Stage Theatre), Out of the Shadows (Palladium Theater), and Justice By Any Means (TV One). Shelby co-wrote, executive produced and directed the short film Gazing, a story about two Black men competing for compassion as they navigate their anxiety and fear of receiving one another's intimacy.
