Jasmine Cheri Rush

BFA Acting

​Jasmine Cheri Rush is an actor, mover, writer, and director from Windsor, Connecticut. Her Theatre School credits include Long Time Since Yesterday (Laveer) and Alphonsine in the Chicago premiere of Our Lady of Kibeho. She is a founding member of Black Artists of Today (B.A.T.), The Theatre School's first affinity group for Black students. Through B.A.T. she has written, directed, and produced numerous bodies of work. In 2018, she received a full scholarship to train at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts, where she will return this summer to play Cordelia in King Lear opposite Christopher Lloyd. She is the 2019 Chicago Drama League Scholar and the 2020 Sarah Siddons Society Scholar. Jasmine is forever grateful to her fabulous peers, teachers, family, and Beyoncé, for pushing and inspiring her. Jasmine is represented by Gray Talent Group.​ IG: @jazzycheri
