Stacy Caballero (MFA Costume Design ‘97) is a multicultural storyteller and fashion historian who works as a global Costume Designer for feature films, television, and theatre. She is known as an artistically diverse talent in the entertainment industry and executes highly conceptual designs with impeccable detail and craftsmanship.
Students, faculty, and staff joined Stacy Caballero for a Q&A Discussion on June 10 at The Theatre School.
Rob Adler (Co-Head of BFA Acting) joined the discussion, and
Sally Dolembo (Head of Costume Design) moderated. Stacy talked with students about her Oscar-winning career as a global Film & Television Costume Designer, gave advice for pursuing a career in the theatre, film, and television industries, and shared her path into costume design.
Stacy has worked on many projects over the years, including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which won the 2023 Academy Award for Costume Design, Coming 2 America, which won the 2022 Costume Designers Guild award for Excellence in Contemporary Film, Harriet, Miss India America, Thor Ragnarok, Burlesque, Star Trek, Jupiter Ascending, Echo for Marvel Studios and recently Eddington with director, Ari Aster.
