On May 7, KiKi Layne (BFA Acting ‘14) returned to The Theatre School to speak with students, staff, and faculty. The Q&A discussion was led by Jason Beck (Assistant Dean) and explored KiKi’s work as an actor and producer, her artistic inspirations, and her transition from graduation to working full-time in the entertainment industry. 

KiKi Layne is an accomplished performing artist and producer. She gained widespread recognition for her breakout role in If Beale Street Could Talk (2018). Her filmography includes Native Son (2019), Netflix’s The Old Guard (2020), Coming 2 America (2021), and her upcoming project, Dandelion - in theatres on July 12, 2024.
