Centennial Service Day

As part of The Theatre School’s Centennial Celebration, we’re coming together to give back.

On Saturday, September 6, alumni, students, friends of TTS, faculty, and staff will work side-by-side to support our community and honor 100 years of artistry, impact, and service.

After meeting at TTS for a continental breakfast and coffee, teams will set out to sites around Chicago for a few hours of service and then return to TTS for a picnic lunch for networking and socializing.

The tentative schedule of the day will be:

8:30am | Arrive at TTS, breakfast/coffee and receive group assignment
9:00am | Full group meeting
9:30am | Travel to service sites (TTS will provide transportation costs via bus/train)
10am-12pm | Site-specific service activities
12pm | Travel back to TTS
12:30pm-2pm | Picnic lunch at TTS

Note: For anyone who would prefer not to travel to a different location, there are some participating organizations whose service activities can be completed at TTS that day without traveling to a site.

All other groups will travel to theatre companies, food banks, community gardens, and other non-profit organizations to complete service on site that morning. We have a few slots still open for service sites, so if you know of an organization that might be interested in having a TTS group visit that morning, email Claudia Quesada at cquesada@depaul.edu with the information and a contact at that organization.

If you would like to participate, please RSVP no later than Friday, August 29, using the link below.

We look forward to seeing you!
