Michelle Lopez-Rios

We are excited to open the Playworks season with The Mole Hill Stories adapted by award-winning playwright Alvaro Saar Rios. The play beautifully weaves together three books (Mole's Hill, Cucú, and Moon Rope) by acclaimed author and illustrator Lois Ehlert. This bilingual play explores fables from Peru, Mexico, and the Seneca people. DePaul student designers bring Topo the Mole and all of her forest friends to life with stunning costumes, music, projections, and lights. Join us for an afternoon of inspiring young people to take risks and dream big.  -Michelle Lopez-Rios, Artistic Director
