John directed more than twenty productions at DePaul University, including Ladyhouse Blues, A Taste of Honey, and You Can't Take It With You. He was the Associate Dean of The Theatre School for 13 years, from 1985-1998, and also served as the Head of the Theatre Studi​es Program.
