​As a working theatre professional Mr. Magaw has designed more than 260 productions in the United States and abroad for such Off-Broadway, Chicago, and regional theatres as Lincoln Center Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Alliance Theatre, Court Theatre, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Geva Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre, Repertory Theatre of St Louis, Writers’ Theatre, Victory Gardens Theater, Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Utah Shakespeare Festival, and the Galway Arts Festival, among many others. Mr. Magaw’s work has been recognized many times by the Joseph Jefferson Award Committee and he is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829. He has been an adjunct faculty member at The Theatre School since 2000 and currently teaches Scene Design, Model Building, PhotoShop for Designers, and Portfolio Presentation. Mr. Magaw is a 1991 graduate of the Master of Fine Arts program in Scenic Design at Northwestern University. A portfolio of his work is located at jackm​agawdesign.com​​.
