Henry IV

by William Shakespeare
adapted by The Ensemble
directed by Chris Anthony

Henry seized the throne from his cousin Richard to become the King of England, but rebellion and turmoil confound his rule. With a civil war looming on-stage, the acting company producing Henry IV, Part 1 navigates their own tensions that can’t be easily resolved. This adaptation, devised entirely by the ensemble, examines the stories we tell, how we tell them, and what it takes to turn life into art.
