Mirror of Most Value: A Ms. Marvel Play

by Masi Asare
based on Marvel Comics by G. Willow Wilson, Adrian Alphona & Sana Amanat
directed by Reshmi Hazra Rustebakke

Kamala Khan was an average high school student until a mysterious mist unlocked her shape-shifting superpowers and changed everything. When her obsession with building her alter ego's image starts to affect her grades, friendships, and sense of self, Kamala must confront a bigger challenge: accepting who she is, flaws, quirks, and all. Filled with humor, heart, and comic book flair, Mirror of Most Value brings Marvel's beloved teen superhero to the stage in a story about identity, fandom, and finding the courage to be yourself.

Creative Root's Theatre 360 Residency Program

Dive deeper into the world of theatre with our Creative Root in-school residency program!  Through 6–8 classroom visits, students:

Analyze the story, themes, and characters of our Playworks production.
Perform scenes and gain behind-the-scenes insight into the design and production process.

Connect directly with DePaul artists involved in the Playworks production.

This program culminates in a field trip to see the play and a reflective classroom visit where students can showcase their work and receive feedback.

Learn more about how Creative Root empowers students through theatre on our website.
