Cinderella, an amazing DJ, is stuck in her Stepmother's basement and forced to give up her beats to her stepbrother, Chocolate Ice. When the famous J Prince announces auditions for his Hip-Hop Hollywood "Jam," Cinderella goes in disguise trying to score the biggest gig in the land. Join us for an urban twist on the classic Cinderella fairy tale. Girl power!
Recommended for ages 5 and up.

The cast features

Chanell Bell Copeland (Cinderella), ​Hunter Bryant (Chocolate Ice), Mariana Castro Florez (Chin Chilla), Samantha Newcomb (Bad Mamajama/Hoperah), and Nosakhere Cash-O'Bannon (J Prince).

 

The production team includes scenic design by Angela McIlvain, costume design by Emilee Orton, lighting design by Richard Latshaw, sound design by Madeline Doyle, dramaturgy by Yasmin Zacaria Mitchel, and stage management by Emily Mills.​

If you or your child require wheelchair accessible and/or companion seating, or have any other hearing or vision needs, please let us know when you reserve your tickets so that we can make sure your visit to our theatre is an excellent one. Discounted tickets are available for patrons with disabilities and their guests.

The performance of Cinderella: The Remix on Saturday, 5/13 (2 PM) will be sensory friendly. A social narrative and adapted teacher guide will be available prior to the performance. Accommodations to this performance include reduced sound and lighting cues and some added light in the house of the theatre to welcome audience members with sensory sensitivities.

Performances Interpreted in American Sign Language & Assisted Listening Devices:

The performances of Cinderella: The Remix on 5/18 (10 AM) and 5/21 (2 PM) will be interpreted in American Sign Language. Call TTY (773) 325-7975. We also offer Listen Up! personal listening devices for each performance at DePaul's Merle Reskin Theatre. These assisted listening devices are available to patrons upon request.

Audio Description Services:
