COVID-19 Safety

Updated 9/13/2021

We want to ensure your visit to The Theatre School is comfortable, safe, and fun. Note that our guidelines and the theatrical experience may be modified at any time,  based on the latest public health, city and university recommendations. Please visit this page before you purchase a ticket or attend a performance as our policies are likely to change.

We look forward to welcoming you back into our artistic home!

Face Masks:
In alignment with mask guidance issued on July 30, 2021 by the Chicago Department of Public Health, DePaul University is requiring that everyone on campus—regardless of vaccination status—is required to wear a face mask indoors. This means that audience members and performers will be wearing masks in our theatre and in our spaces. More information can be found here.

Flexibility with Ticketing:
With many unknowns, we will be readily able to accommodate exchanges, credits, and refunds should you be unable to attend an event. We will also ask that you, our audience, be patient when we need to reschedule or cancel performances due to illness. We are working hard to create a culture of prioritizing self-care and community wellness and this will affect scheduled performances along the way. Thank you, in advance, for your patience! Please be sure to check our showpages before traveling to the theatre to ensure that the performance has not been cancelled.

Air Ventilation System and Sanitation:
DePaul University invested in and installed improved ventilation systems to ensure a safe environment. The university will continue with its rigorous cleaning throughout the building. Additionally, the university has built and installed many hand sanitizer stations that can be found throughout the building. More information can be found here
