Join us for a rare opportunity to train with Antonio Fava, one of the world’s most experienced practitioners, teachers, and scholars of Commedia dell’Arte. With nearly 50 years of expertise, Antonio brings deep insight into this foundational form of physical and masked comedy.
Based in Reggio Emilia, Italy, Antonio directs a renowned institute dedicated to the study and performance of Commedia and offers summer training programs that attract students from around the world.
In this hands-on workshop, students will explore the roots of European and American comedy—tracing a direct line from Molière, Shakespeare, and Vaudeville to improv, sketch, silent film, and modern sitcoms. Commedia dell’Arte is not just history—it’s the foundation of how we do comedy today.
