Anti-Racism in Academia: Moving from Ideation to Practice | Azar Kazemi and Dean Martine Kei Green-Rogers

Anti-Racism in Academia: Moving from Ideation to Practice

As a part of the Theatre Communications Group's National Conference, The Theatre School at DePaul University will host a roundtable discussion on “Anti-Racism in Academia: Moving from Ideation to Practice.” In this session both the progress and challenges of creating an anti-racist institution within academia will be discussed. Through our commitment and integration of anti-racism as an ongoing practice of The Theatre School, we encounter ways in which we are successful in this work and the systemic obstacles that challenge our efforts. Panelists from different Universities will share a range of programs, processes, and tools that will help empower and support others in creating equitable learning environments for their students and broader communities.

*Participants must check in at the Hyatt Regency (151 E Wacker Drive) to receive their badges/lanyards prior to beginning conference programming.*
