Jason Fliess

Jason A. Fliess is a graduate of the Theatre School at DePaul University (MFA in Directing, class of 2007). Working under his professional name, Jason A. Fleece, he is the co-Artistic Director of Stage Left Theatre, and is a professional director in the Chicago area. At Stage Left, Jason has directed the Chicago premiere of Dan O’Brien’s The Body of an American, the world premiere of Warped by Barbara Lhota, and Arthur Miller’s adaptation of Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People, as well as helping to workshop several new plays as part of Stage Left’s Downstage Left Residencies and LeapFest, their annual festival of new plays. Jason has also directed, dramaturged, and dialect coached around town, most recently for Pegasus Theatre Chicago, BoHo Theatre, and Lifeline Theatre, among others. Jason is an adjunct instructor both at DePaul and at Oakton Community College.​
