Andrew Gallant

Andrew holds a BA in Theater from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, a postgraduate diploma from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and an MFA in Acting from The Theatre School. He became a certified instructor of the Meisner Approach by completing the two-year certification process taught by actor, author, and master Meisner teacher Larry Silverberg. Andrew co-founded Green Shirt Studio with his wife, Sommer Austin, where they train Chicago actors in the Meisner work. In addition to The Theatre School and Green Shirt Studio, he teaches acting and theatre history at Triton College.

When not teaching, Andrew serves as the Artistic Director of The Agency Theater Collective in Chicago. He regularly writes and performs at their weekly show No Shame Theatre, and, for The Agency, he recently directed Clifford Odets’ Paradise Lost, Copi’s Four Twins, as well as wrote and starred in Out of Tune Confessional. Andrew continues to act professionally and is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association.​
