Our Chicago location places us at the heart of a world-class theatrical and cultural community that serves as an extended classroom for our students. We believe that there is no better place to study or enrich your career.
The Theatre School is located on DePaul University's Lincoln Park campus, and being part of an urban campus is central to our identity. The city of Chicago offers so many opportunities for world-class cultural experiences, great theatre, great food, and diverse community. The Theatre School is a proud member of the League of Chicago Theatres. The League of Chicago Theatres serves a membership of more than 200 theaters, a rich and varied theater community ranging from storefront, non-union theaters with budgets under $10,000 to major cultural centers with multi-million dollar shows. No other theater service organization in the country has such a diverse theater membership. Learn more about Chicago Theatre by visiting their website
It is through the vibrant Chicago theatre scene that our faculty and staff are able to keep a finger on the pulse of what is happening in the profession. On any given weekend, alumni, faculty, or staff members of The Theatre School are making theatre in our beloved city, and those experiences inform not only the dialogue in our classrooms, but also the cultural dialogue in the city.
